These terms govern your use of Sailing Logbook, a personal sailing logbook application. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

The Service

Sailing Logbook is a free tool for logging and tracking personal sailing activities. The service is provided as a personal project on an "as-is" basis.

Your Account

• You must provide a valid email address to create an account.
• You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity under your account.
• Accounts are for individual use. Do not share your account credentials with others.

Your Data

• You retain full ownership of all data you enter into the service.
• You grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your data solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.
• You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of the content you enter.

Acceptable Use

Please use the service for its intended purpose: logging personal sailing activities. You agree not to:

• Attempt to access other users' data or accounts.
• Reverse-engineer, disassemble, or interfere with the service.
• Use the service for any unlawful purpose or to store illegal content.
• Overload or disrupt the service infrastructure.

Service Availability

We aim to keep the service available but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time, with reasonable notice when possible.

We recommend regularly exporting your data using the CSV export feature to maintain your own backup.

Limitation of Liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service.

The service is not a substitute for official maritime records, navigation aids, or safety documentation. Do not rely on it for safety-critical decisions.

Termination

• You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page. This permanently and irreversibly removes all your data.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Your continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
